The recent school fights in Lae and Port Moresby plus other parts of the country all boils down to the management of each school to deal with such appropriately.
This is according to the Education Minister Hon Nick Kuman who adds, “If the management system is weak, then you’ll see an attitude problem develop among youths”. Most of such school clashes occur from those situated in urban centres. Moreover, “Parents in the house each have the first moral duty to educate their kids in the homes and discipline them – take responsibility and ensure your children go to school to learn and not for any other agenda” says Minister Kuman. He further states, “It is time we as community leaders, parents, school authorities, and the government all co-operate to rid our youths and society of this attitude problem that is at the root of these school fights.” PNG Village Comments are closed.
