In what was described as a Hollywood style of rescue, three men armed with pistols ordered security guards, police and correctional service officers to lay down flat before taking the two prisoners away to a waiting vehicle. National Capital District Superintendent Operations Perou N'Drannou told NBC News, that the incident happened around half-past-one. "They were aided by about three suspect came in a white Nissan ex trail.The number plate was colored so our guards at the court house could not identify.Came in and issued two pistol, ordered all the policemen and CS officers to lie down and they went and pick up two prisoners.Those are criminals who wanted for various crimes." Mr Perou N'Drannou however earlier this morning (07-03-14) denied The National news paper's front page report today, that the escapees were from the 6- million kina heist from May Bank. N'Drannou also confirm there were three escapees and not two as reported earlier. He said the three escapees were from different robbery case who were apprehended two weeks ago in Port Moresby. The three named escapees have been identified, and his confident police will re-apprehend them soon. Comments are closed.
