The National Planning Minister said, Papua New Guinea lacks a proper development approach in its polices and plans, to maintain a sustainable future.
Charles Abel said, the government needs to be strategic and must recognize the environment around it, with a wealth of knowledge of global events. Mr Abel states, this will allow Government to look at its strengths and weaknesses, and adjust its polices and programs to be more strategic on economic, social and development issues. He said, these polices and programs must connect to the national budget, to effectively address many of the country's development needs. Mr. Charles Abel said, Government will review many of its policies, to enhance transition in the development revolution being experienced in P-N-G. He was speaking at the last day of the 6th Research, Science and Technology Conference, in Port Moresby, yesterday (Friday 21-11-14).
