While the rest of country’s Grade 10 students turned up for the WRITTEN EXPRESSION EXAM on Thursday, 33 grade ten students from the Holy Spirit High School in Madang didn't sit for the it.
Education authorities in the province say they have yet to establish why they didn't turn up for the exam. Meanwhile, all other schools in the province had no problems, except for Good Shepherd Lutheran High School which ran out of space for its 400 plus grade ten students. Good Shepherd has the highest number of grade ten students. Education officers say the school will have to improve facilities or create more spaces before the final examination in October.
