PNG Power workers have been told, they will not receive increases in their salaries.
They were bluntly told of this news yesterday, during a lunch-hour meeting by Chief Executive Officer John Tangit, who says the timing was not right. The P-P-L Board had knocked back the the submission of a 17 - point-seven per cent salary increase due to the company's financial situation of an overdraft of 40 - million kina. "I'm not fearing working walking away, because I'm got plan B and I don't have to disclose it. That's the management task.
